The Security Industry Authority is calling all Security Officers and Management Staff to contribute to its Approved Contractor Scheme. The annual assessment puts a wide range of operating criteria under the microscope so that contractors can raise their game. As part of its self-assessment initiatives, the SIA wants employees to give their independent assessors honest, confidential feedback.
Just released, the SIA's Mini brochure "Working for an Approved Contractor" sets out what the ACS quality assurance programme is all about and explains how assessors will invite feedback. It also spells out the responsibilities an approved contractor has towards its employees, as well as highlighting what ACS status means to customers and those in the market for security services.
