Easy access to SSHE policies

As part of its drive for better communication, more transparency and leadership in best practice, Profile Security Services has posted its SSHE policy online. The initiative will help staff, service users, clients, prospects and visitors to sites up and down the country gain a better understanding of our guiding principles when it comes to Security, Safety, Health and the Environment.

Profile’s website now includes a thumbnail summary of its SSHE goals and how it sets about achieving them. Visitors to the website can now download the company’s full policy document in pdf format, or simply refer to it online 24/7, as and when they need to. Much more than a mere policy document that is regularly updated to reflect changes in legislation, its pages are packed with practical advice and useful information.

The result of months of hard work by Compliance & Training Manager Mick Austen and his team, the document names those responsible for effectively implementing and reporting safety issues. It clearly sets out individuals’ own responsibilities for Health & Safety in the workplace. There’s advice on working alone, managing stress, plus guidance on handling equipment and what to do in an emergency – from dealing with suspicious packages to putting out fires.

Clearly set out are Profile’s green ambitions, too. Our approach to recycling, practical steps we are taking to reduce our energy consumption, initiatives for cutting waste and our fair trade goals that seek out local suppliers.
